TANK SURVEY
LIST OF TANKS, PIPELINES, P&I LAYOUTS AND FIRE SAFETY LAYOUTS
Pipeline Support Survey

It is now mandatory for all tank terminals, depots, and refineries to undergo regular ultrasonic thickness testing of tanks and pipelines and to submit regular inspection reports.
It is also mandatory to maintain proper ultrasonic thickness reports for tank shells, including the side shell, bottom, and roof. These reports should include proper identification layouts, fire safety layouts, fire hydrant layouts, and P&I diagrams, with all pipeline and valve nomenclature clearly identified and properly represented in the layout.
TGC specialises extensively in all these services with dedicated and well-trained personnel. From site layout preparation and valve identification to AutoCAD drawings, all activities are completed in-house. Unlike many other service providers, we do not outsource these critical activities.
We provide complete safety and preventive inspection services, including API 653B analysis, tank settlement, tank tilt, and tank roundness surveys under one roof, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
Our tank settlement and roundness survey work in Ras Laffan, Qatar, has been extensively scrutinised and appreciated for its exemplary quality in the Middle East, in addition to our work across India.
Indian companies such as BPCL, IOCL, and HPCL can verify our work through their SAP databases using the following vendor codes:

Tank Settlement Survey
Tank settlement surveys are conducted in accordance with the API 653 methodology.
Tank Health Assessment
Out-of-roundness, tank tilt, and tank settlement surveys are essential for identifying potential problems in storage tanks.
- Tank repair and maintenance assessment
- Floating-roof movement problems
- Inlet and outlet valve alignment
- Pipeline stress and misalignment
- Tank shell deformation
- Cracks and leakage risks
- Tank floor settlement and tilting
These inspections are important for preventive maintenance, operational safety, and maintaining the structural integrity of storage tanks.
