Ship tanks have variable shapes, bulkheads, transverse sections, and lots of details (deadwood) inside. Sounding pipes / gauge points are measured very accurately for ullage or sounding measurements. To translate intricate ship tank details / coordinates into volume involves considerable engineering and mathematical skills. Manual calculations, drawings, and CAD are used at various stages of volume analysis. Our calibration has been certified by various classification agencies.

Final calibration tables in ullage and innage (sounding) are made along with correction for ship "List" and "Trim", which is essential when the ship is not on an even keel. All data are also provided electronically for integration into ship software for radar/auto gauging. Our calibration tables are recognized by all IACS-approved classification agencies.
